What this tool does—and does not do
The tempo tool measures the interval between your taps. The key tool translates a key you already know into Camelot notation. It does not upload or automatically inspect a recording.
How to tap accurately
Tap the main kick or snare pulse for at least eight beats. If your result looks half or double the expected tempo, try tapping twice or half as often. Many tracks can reasonably be counted both ways.
